The Key Challenges Of A 5 Years Old

A young preschooler at five years old has a lot to tell about their preschool life and experiences because of the new things which they are learning in these schools and their curiosity tend to grow as they learn. Five years old is another key milestone where kids encountered changes physically, emotionally, intellectually, socially and cognitively.

Again, let us talk about some of the obvious challenges that teachers and parents need to anticipate if you have any five years old kids or students;

He can be very friendly, talkative and curious against new stuffs and new people that they meet, peers of the same age and adults. They show their affection to please their new known friends. They are empathy and caring, they are good in relating their concerns and sympathy towards their friends who are hurt and sad. At this stage, a five years old had become more sociable with their circle of friends and peers.

Improve significantly in their language and communication skills. You can start hearing them trying to make longer sentences when they speak and communicate. They become more skilful in using connected sentences, tell events in proper sequence, speak clearly and more confidently, start to understand comparatives, able to interpret conversations and stories and uses plural and different tenses correctly.

Making friends is just normal for a five years old as they love lots of company and they adore the crowd and fun of having friends around them. At this stage, they prefer friends from the same sex-group as compared to the opposite sex, and they prefer their peers over adults as well. whilst the ability to share with others might be easy for some children, but definitely not for all. some five years old get very offensive over peers of the same age when sharing things are concerned. However the ability to share with others cannot be forced, therefore give your child some time for him to learn how to share and in return get to share from others. As long as he is happy when someone shared with him, he will start to enjoy the real experience of sharing himself.

Children at five start to show their interest in painting, singing and imaginative play or activities. They adore drawings a lot and tend to show their potential and creativity through their drawings and coloring by using different attractive colors and multiple shapes and objects in their master-piece. They are proud when they complete their art work assignments and obviously show their passionate on these creativity art work over their formal learning courses such as languages and grammar lessons, science lessons, mathematics lessons.

Although they are still young at age, nonetheless the ability for them to understand the importance of each lessons are important for their future academic growth and they should not “insist” on any strong preference on one lesson over the other.

Share with them the benefits that they can gain out from these different lessons and without any of them, they will not be able to obtain sufficient knowledge and skill sets to be competitive among their same age peers.
